Fourth Arm didn’t rise?
Crowds gathered at BC place tonight, to see the opening ceremony for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. It started out great, with a snowboard entrance. After that, they had the four host aboriginal nations greet everyone and beat a drum/stage in the middle. They then introduced all the nations in the games, starting with Greece and ending great, with our nation, Canada. They then had many performances and speaches, and finaly at the end, they had four people including Wayne Gretzky and Rick hansen, light the gigantic olympic flame in the middle of BC Place. It started with none of the arms forming the flame rising, and then, movement! But even then only three of the four arms rose. They did not hesitate, but instead pretended it never happened, and lit the three torches instead of four. Wayne Gretzky then got a police escort to Waterfront, Vancouver; where the public torch was located and lit that torch and all was fine. It ended with the boom of 10 minutes of great fireworks that could be seen from around the whole lower mainland.
Also, They drew the olympic logo (four circles interlocked) in the sky with fighter jets in Kandahar, Afghanistan!
